Security-measures in times of COVID-19
Enjoy your stay with us to the fullest and be pampered by our team of Lifestyle Hotel MATTEO in the centre of Flachau. In order to secure your safety during your stay with us, we are curious about safety measures in order to avoid new infections with COVID-19. In our hotel, you can find hand disinfection dispensers.

Your safety is important to us as well as our employee’s safety.

New stricter entry measures came in effect on 20 December. To enter Austria, the “2-G+” rule is currently in place. In addition to proof of vaccination/recovery, you need a negative PCR test OR proof of a booster jab.

As of Monday, 24 January, there will no longer be a list of virus variant countries.

Until including Sunday, 23 January, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway are classified as virus variant countries and different rules do still apply. Find more information here

A few rules are necessary in order to avoid infections. Therefore, we ask our guests to obey to following policies:

The "2-G" rule (proof of vaccination/recovery) is currently in effect in Austria. FFP2 masks are mandatory in most areas. To keep locals and visitors safe, the following measures are in place:

  • For hotels, restaurants, leisure centres, gyms, cultural institutions (cinemas, theatres etc.), ski lifts/cable cars and body-related services (such as hairdressers) proof of full vaccination (2 jabs) / recovery is mandatory (children under the age of 12 are exempt). Please find more information here
  • 2-dose-vaccinations are valid for 270 days after the second dose. However, this will be shortened to 180 days on 1 February 2022. After that a booster jab is required, which is valid for 270 days. Attention: The 1-dose vaccine by Johnson & Johnson requires a booster since 3 January 2022.
  • FFP2 masks are required in all public areas in enclosed spaces, including restaurants (when not seated), hotels and cable cars. When 2-m social distancing with people not living in you household is not possible, FFP2 masks are also compulsory outdoors.
  • Restaurants/cafés/inns have a curfew at 10 PM.
  • Bars and clubs remain closed. Après-ski is not possible.
Rules for children and teenagers
  • Children under 12 years are currently exempt from the „2-G” rule (exemption: In Vienna, children from the age of 6 require an entry test).
  • Teenagers (12 or over and born on or after 1 September 2006) who are not fully vaccinated or have not recovered from Covid, can obtain "2-G" status with the so-called "Holiday Ninja Pass". Regular testing is needed as well as documenting the results in the pass. Please check out the Holiday Ninja Pass FAQ and download the English version of the pass here. Teenagers who are double-jabbed can simply use their vaccination proof.
  • For teenagers born before 1 September 2006, the “2-G” rule applies.
